Oh, OK, Mark. I didn't understand.
I do know that without a "ram" disk the TTS speech output was
slow/disjointed and a little stuttering. I didn't know if it was due to
my use of 8 bit soundblaster card or not. I installed a RAM disk and
speech was improved.
Again, 486-100 machine so I would suspect pentium processors wouldn't
suffer same performance drawbacks.
