Dan,
In an earlier reply I did not answer some very specific questions you had
asked.
(1.)The billing rate I have is probably very similar to yours. A standard
residential rate.
(2.) As for the loads I may want to control, as you probably surmise,
they may not be something you would want to control. These are very individual
in nature. One example is when I leave the house (ECS knows by the way I arm
the security system that no one is at home) the air conditioning is "clampted"
to a pre set value and the electric water heater, and the air compressor are
removed from service. These are especially beneficial for extended periods
like a week or so. As far as specific load control in response to TOU or
Demand rates I'm just looking into those.
