Yes, connect outputs to LEDs to ground.  The yellow is for an external
IR receiver.  Just a way to have reception somewhere else besides at the
box itself.  There are many brands available with various styles.  You
may need the power to power a receiver, otherwise the power is to power
the other optional boards available from Dancraft that give digital
inputs or relay outputs to the IR Masters.  (currently not supported by
ECS that I know of, see earlier message about that)  You could use
various other types of IR connector blocks and distribution for the
outputs and for the external receiver.  See home automation catalogs for
IR equipment to use with it.  I would be careful of using the power out
for much though.  If a connector or distribution system needs power, use
it's own power supply.
