Being the "impatient" sort, I went out and blew $19.95 today at Radio
Shack for a "Phone Recording Interface".  This is a small in-line box
that plugs into your phone line and activates a phone recorder.  I'm
using only the "motor" control output, through a digital input, to
signal ECS that a phone has been taken "off hook".

Somehow, my phone event has gotten "screwed-up" during all of this, and
it is answering the phone 100% of the time as if it's after hours or
something.  I'll have to plow through it to fix it; later...
