Hi Mark:
I ended up commenting out all the commands after the ATZ command, which I
assume means that the remote and callerID functions are disabled. I tried a
Win comm program and could access the modem with no problem, and I could
manually type in all the PHN_C.SET commands which the modem replied 'OK". I
moved back into ECS and got the same error message:
"modem error responding to AT#CLS=8"
Another problem showed up later in the day, which was a message saying that
"access was denied Win error #005" or something like that. Rebooting the
computer allowed ECS to again access the modem, but still wouldn't take the
AT commands found in PHN_C.SET. I will try and give you the exact access
error if it shows up again.
Thanks;
Don
