These all sound like ver promising developments for the future in
my home. The whole HA thing is very new to my wife (about 6 weeks
since I automated the first light), and she is very much a
"technophobe". I only got away with the first lamp, because the
switch had broken, and I used the excuse that the quickest way I
could fix it was to remove the switch and use an x10 module to
turn it on and off. Little by little she is softening. The more
I do that reduces complexity for her, the better it gets.
