HomeVision IR Signals

HomeVision works VERY different for IR signals. You can learn IR Signals
that you wish ECS/HV to Transmit. These have a two digit ID#. You set
Ir-Signal-J to this ID and it Transmits. Thanks to Kevin, I just verified
that yesterday. The monitoring of IR Signals to the HomeVision is very
different. It only knows and responds to certain signals. For example a
Hitachi TV Remote. These signals all have a Device Code and Key Code. You
can NOT Teach these signals to HV. You set up the menu with a particular
IR Remote that HV knows about. Then you can have 16 buttons (keys)
defined. For each button press HV sends the Device Code and Key Code.
That is why there are two bytes being transmitted to ECS in my cpt.tmp
file.
Now also you can have up to three remotes that HV will look at. Three
different Device Codes could be sent into ECS with up to sixteen key codes
per device code.
There is no way to assign ID#s to these "defined ir signals". You define
ID#s only to the signals that you have HV learn. The Infared Remote
Control Signals menu is ONLY for these signals.
I will re-attach my cpt.tmp file.
