Subject: From: Date: | TTS/SF->Modem Mark Gilmore Tue, 26 Jan 1999 16:55:05 -0800 |
Hello all,
Given my extensive/LONG-term difficulties in attempting
to route CLEAN TTS thru the Rockwell modems, I have been
contemplating the use of SF recordings (which would be
bundled with ECS). Recordings made via the handset do
NOT suffer the distortion incurred by the Rockwell
WAV->ADPCM compression algorithms (btw, other companies
with resources much greater than I have the same problem).
Any thoughts ?
There would be some 700 phrases to record with SF,
requiring some 3-hours work at 15-seconds a phrase.
UNLIKE me, my wife has a great phone voice, and
could do so if needed. But if you know of any
willing volunteers, she wouldn't mind :-).
