Mark are you using TAPI commands for your communication to modems?
I have a great tele-answering program with multiple mail boxes, fax, fax
back and etc. called Ring Central. The Ring Central product is out of
Hawaii. It plays wav files etc, clear, crisp and I am really pleased with
it's performance. It is programmed using TAPI as I read that the specs
from their web page.
FYI ...When I was in VA in December a group of us ECS'ers got together and
Rick Tinker joined us along with David Kindred and another of the HAL
programmers who I think is working on the TAPI interface for HAL. I think
you know that David Kindred is a programmer at HAL as well. Rick mentioned
that they were working on a TAPI interface with modems for their telephony
for HAL. From the drift of the conversation I understood that TAPI was
about the only way to successfully connect as a standard to do all the
telephony stuff. I don't know much about TAPI but I understand that it is
a common language that one can use with most any modem. If so, maybe you
should investigate this option if you are not already doing the telephony
Windoz ECS stuff in TAPI.
