RE: [ECS] "DOS based "

Been out of town and just caught up on the list postings. The only thing I
can see that would make anyone who knows anything about windows/dos other
than they ran the wrong executable would be the Console window. Obviously
they did not spend any in depth time with the product or they would have
concluded that the Engine is one of the most versatile and powerful around.
Just food for thought could part of it be that ECS supports many Hardware
products that they do not sell?
They sell the Star Gate a wonderful piece of hardware with a sick brain. My
buddy the owner of a Star Gate was about to sell the unit and buy something
he could use with ECS because of its engines limitations. When I finally
talked him into calling Mark they had ECS working with the Star Gate within
a few minutes. The support that comes with ECS is another thing that the
evaluator could not have known.
Maybe the guy was overwhelmed by the massiveness. How may testimonials do
we need to get them to take another look?
OK I have ranted now.
The only things that I would like to see in upcoming releases is the ability
to print an event and any items/groups used in that event.
As far as the way the interface looks; my only criticism is when using the
event editor the line numbering does not go to the bottom of the event
window so I have some lines that are not numbered until I scroll down but
then I wish I still had all my hair too.

Sorry I wasn't clear:
HAS reviewed ECS (internally) for possible inclusion
in their catalog. It was rejected without explanation.
I carefully explained that I had NO problem with the
rejection, but would really appreciate knowing WHY,
so that I might correct the shortcomings in the future.
It took a little "tinkling contest" to obtain the report,
which stated that it was "DOS based and looked terrible".
This would lead me to beleive that they had run ECS/DOS,
but I can't figure out HOW they could have done such a
thing.

Anyway, I found the entire experience most unpleasant,
and so the rejection may have been a blessing.
