This is what I've done, and it works fine.
As a matter of fact, this is the only way to execute any commands within
Homevision without ECS. In Homevision's downloaded language, there's no way to
perform events directly on the IR keycodes - you must define an IR Item to
whatever keycodes you want to listen to or send and hang your events off that.
ECS does exactly that. Now, I'm not saying it wouldn't be *nice* for ECS to also
add support for this new serial-output format (it is new, I believe it was added
in Homevision v2.6), but it's not necessary.
