Subject: From: Date: | X-10 SR731 Smart Repeater GREAMS.VIRON.com Fri, 29 Jan 1999 7:07:42 -0600 |

Has anyone had experience with X-10s SR731 Smart Repeater? To my
understanding, the device receives radio signals transmitted by palm pads,
motion sensors, and security sensors, transmits the associated signal onto the
the powerline, coordinating with up to 3 other SR731s to prevent collisions
and duplicated signals. Supposedly, the receiver/repeater handles all 256
X-10 codes.
I purchased one of these devices, hoping to get rid of 3 RR-501 receivers, but
it doesn't seem to work. I sent back the first (assuming it was bad), but the
replacement also does not work. The LEDs on the device seem to indicate that
it is both receiving the radio signals, and retransmitting them onto the
powerline, but none of my x-10 modules react. In fact, ECS doesn't report
seeing any activity on the powerline from my CM11A.
My powerlines are well coupled, and the RR-501s work great when I plug them
back in.
Am I missing something? Anyone had any experience with the SR731?
