Thanks for the replies. I realy don't want to spend the $200+ for Home
Voice if I can get VR/SAPI to work for free!! Just was interested in seeing
what other programs could achieve, to see what the potential is.

Also I believe that Dragon / IBM / Verbex ect charge quite a bit to get
their VR engines unlike MS which is a freebee.

The issue was not with distance recognition, I was unable to get it working
from 6" no matter how much "training" I did! I was simply contrasting how
the two systems were working for me at the time.

HOWEVER, late last night I finally decided to uninstall/reinstall SAPI and
it worked!! At least it recognized 'Attention' as 'Attention' instead
of'2%' 'on'. Somehow I guess the VR engine got corrupted. I was unable to
test it further since the wife was sleeping and the computer is in the
bedroom! Tonight I'll train thoroughly from close and distance and try
again.
