It really has been some time since I did the phone thing; most of the
archive stuff was written for the Bigmouth. It used to answer solicitors
right away (actually after the first ring, but I used a distinctive ring /
ring splitter that absorbed the first ring). Never used to hear solicitors
at all.
I currently use a PhoneBlaster and we do hear the first ring (after the ring
splitter). I haven't had time to mess with it to get it better, but I'm sure
we can find a way to do it.
BTW, if there is something about the event that you don't understand, I am
still here !

Thank you for the offer.  I am also using Garnet's system as a model.  I
still don't yet understand exactly how it works but I am getting there.  I
got the file from the ftp.gallops.com site.

Good luck with the ring kill.

Question:  Without your ring kill, does garnets system answer on the first
ring if it is a solicitor or blocked caller id?
