Dan,

Would I need to use panasonic phones? No, however the best features are
offered only with their phones.

Do they offer cordless? Yes, but it's no better than anybody else's, so I'd
get the best cordless you can find and use it like a standard telephone.

I thought I heard this would allow me to use local phone sessions with ECSW,
is this true?
I'm not using ECSW, but it works great with ECST and Bigmouth,

Why the heck do you need 19 phones?!!
Our house is bigger than average, and we just added on to it.... We placed
phones just about anywhere we spend any time, including the garage, each of
4 childrens rooms, guest room, laundry room, kitchen, living room, library.
My wife & I have phones on each side of the bed since we get middle of the
night phone calls as an occupational hazard. (Sometimes we get them at the
same time.) The cordless takes one slot, as does ECS. We do a LOT of
business from our house, and we have a lot of guests staying with us.

We even have one , like at a fancy hotel, near the throne. I programmed the
name of the jack in the PBX as "Throne". The kids think it is hilarious.
