The CURRENT default is ADPCM_REV=1 ("bytes are reversed").
I WILL CHANGE THIS TO BE 0 in the next revision, as the
bytes are reversed only in OLDER models (early 90's).
You will be fully warned as to these changes prior
to the next upload.

Another pgm is probably competing with TTS - Either stop
this pgm or try one of the "(for telephone)" engines:
These take less processor time.
Do NOT use any of these engines as the "Phone Engine".

Try disabling Events (ctrl-a). If that fixes it, you will need to
isolate that which is causing the delay.
Otherwise, please get back with me AFTER the next upload
for another solution.
