Subject: From: Date: | Problem starting ECS Jerry Swords Wed, 10 Feb 1999 19:25:56 -0500 |
Ok, let's hear what the experts have to say....
I installed ECS for Windows about 1 week ago, and have had a recurring
problem with starting the program. Whenever I hit the ECS program icon in
the Omnipotence folder, the "Console" DOS screen appears, minimizes, then a
small but elongated "ECS:" window header appears, the computer bell clicks,
and then the ECS window immediately closes, the Console DOS screen
dissappears, and all I'm left with is the Omnipotence folder. If I continue
to try to start ECS, eventually (after 5-10 tries) the program will open and
operate normally.
I thought that there might be some garbage on my computer causing the
problem, but the problem is still happening on the computer I just bought
and installed for home automation purposes only. Nothing is running except
Windows98, and the problem is identical on the 2 computers. Any ideas what
might be causing this?
Thanks,
Jerry Swords
