Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Clock speed ? Dan Carrington Fri, 12 Feb 1999 10:58:26 -0800 |
Other than actually looking at the jumpers on the motherboard, you can
go to the processor's manufacturer's web site and find the data. I do
know that some brands such as cyrix do not actually tell you the clock
speed in their processor's name. I found out that my cyrix P233
actually runs at 187mhz. The P233 is a class rating. The 187mhz cyrix
actually process faster than a pentium 233mhz. It almost processes as
much as a 233 Pentium II by the actual performance data. With the
pentiums, I would assume the number is the mhz. With the non Intel
brands, they just compare themselves to the Intel chips.
