Subject: From: Date: | Dancraft IR Master Dan Carrington Fri, 12 Feb 1999 13:16:28 -0800 |
Mark, I never heard back an answer to the question: Can the digital
input boards that hook up to the Dancraft IR Master units be used with
ECS? They would give the ability to sense equipment on/off status
without running extra wires when the IR Master is already there. Also
they would be extra i/o without wasting any serial ports.
I see that the ecs.htm manual shows the IR-Interface-2B as having an
external board, the SW8-3, as an accessory. You do not talk about the
use of the 8 digital inputs available on that board. You also
mistakenly show the SW8-3 as giving 4 extra IR outputs. It only gives
three and gives an external receiver port also. If you only access the
extra IR ports, not the Digital's, why not show the BO1, just the break
out, not the digital inputs.
