RE: [ECS] Blackhawk motion sensors any good?

I've used them because I got them free. It seems that every time I buy
something from X10.com I get something free.
I'm going broke getting all this free stuff.

Some comments on the Blackhawk.

They have some very nice features like:
settable time to turn off after turning on,
settable parameter to turn on anytime or only at night
they are small and relatively attractive
they can send two codes; 1 is the off/on signal to control a light, etc; the
other is the daytime/nighttime signal.

Some drawbacks:
They don't always trigger. I have many of these mounted in different rooms
and halls. Most work >95% of the time.
But if it is ever absolutley imperative that a light comes on, you can bet
it won't. I
I'll walk into a dark room with my hands full. I'll see the little green
light go off that says it caught my motion, but the room lights won't come
on.
Then I'll wave and jump, and then it will go on. I'm not sure if this is
actually a problem with the Blackhawk or something else.
The reason I think it's a Blackhawk problem is that I expect to see the
little red LED blink when it send the house code to turn on my light. I
don't see this when the problem occurs.

Overall, I like them and will continue to use them.

Just my opinion.
