Although I am not entirely new to X-10 type
controls, I've been using the JDS TimeCommander
for about 3 years and Enerlogic 1400e before that,
I certainly am have a tough time just trying to
set up ECS.

My latest problem is trying to get ECS to
communicate with the
PLC-Interface-2G which is the JDS TimeCommander. 
For various reasons I had to install the JDS on
Com Port 3.  Its IRQ is 09 and Resource is 
03E8-03EF.  The ECS sees Com Port 3 as IRQ 05 and
Resource as 03E8-03EF.
I went into SETTINGS and changed the Com Port and
Resource but it keeps reverting back to what it
thinks they should be.

Can anybody out there work me out of this problem
???
