Subject: From: Date: | Multiport one more time dastorey Thu, 25 Feb 1999 21:14:03 -0600 |
I have read most of the messages posted to the list about multi-port serial
cards. My question is. Do some of the cards support Single IRQ without
request and data buffering and other with buffering for the afore mentioned
or are they all basically the same. I see posting saying Byterunner will not
share IRQ's with ECS and others saying it will. Reference to Applied
Digital etc.
I am running a Pent 200 I can go PCI or ISA. (prefer PCI). At this point
price is not as much of an option as performance. I have additional
equipment on the way which will mandate that I use a multi port serial port
that supports using one interrupt. Got a Buddy in the same shape. We will
sponsor (do the front money) a group purchase if we find the right product
and we can move quickly (48 hours).
