looking for. Do you use it with ECS too? Reddy.
I was for a while, but then I loaded PERL onto my PC. Now I have ECS starting PERL
scripts to do most things since I can customize
their output more (plus I've got almost 8 years of PERL (on UNIX) experience as a systems
administrator). It's easier to have it output
a file formatted exactly how I want ECS to speak it. My wife likes it when ECS announces
"Pam, check your e-mail. You have 2 new
messages." Now she doesn't have to check every so often, and I can send her e-mail
from work and know that she'll read it.
But Postie is definitely the way to go if you're not a PERL hacker. It'll be a little
harder to format output strings, but you should
be able to do the same thing by putting the Text-item together inside ECS.
