When setting a text item to send pager I receive the error "Paging Center
not Responding" Then a second error "no carrier (Item "Phone Interface-C"
These errors occur on approx. 80% of the attempts. On the other 20% all
goes well.
What I have done or checked out so far.
Checked for resource conflicts - We're ok there
Changed phone lines - same problems
Had phone lines checked for noise - Ok there
Changed modems - same problems
Made sure modem profile was same as factory default - having fun now
Disconnected PLC interfaces
Removed dbg.tmp and elg.tmp
Shutdown and restarted ECS
Turned on Debug did 5 pages 4 failed 1 completed
Turned off Debug
Examined Dbg.tmp and it appeared to me that mobile com was not sending me
the ID= prompt
Called Mobile com and of course they assured me every thing was ok on their
end. Finally got a guy to look at it and he assured me that they were
sending an ID=
Tried friends alpha pager with a different paging company-Same problem
Loaded external alpha paging software on the ECS box - 20 consecutive
successful pages.
I have attached the dbg.tmp and elg.tmp files
I don't ever see where we waited for or got modem responses in them should I
be able to see that or not.
Any body doing successful Alpha paging with MobileComm or KPL paging
services.
I used ECST for alpha paging with the same pager I have now- worked every
time
