Hi Doug,
I must THANK YOU, for your problem led me to a BUG :-):
In comparing the paging dump that worked with the one
that that didn't, I noticed that bit 7 was being set
on some characters (rendering them "garbage"),
even though you had specified a 7-bit word length.
Turns out that in my Win serial-port library, I
hard-coded the word length to 8, ignoring the
passed word-length argument.

I have uploaded the fix to ECSB.ZIP - Download by
clicking "BETA SOFTWARE" at bottom of my web page.
Please test and report back. Thanks.
