Mark,

The modem is a:
Supra 56i Voice V.90  Hardware ver. 1.0.00

What I'm trying is setting the state of the Phone-Interface-C
item to  "Record Local Message" in the Group screen.
Then I get the error message:
"Modem not responding to "AT#VLS=1"

Attached is the ELG.tmp while attempting the above.
 

The other modem related problem I have is getting
the phone-c item reset after a WPDL download.

The error message reads :
Open error on Com5 (W95#5:Access is denied)
when I attempt a "Reset".

I have the modem set up on Com5.
