But ECS has no need to know the AT commands at all, since that is all
handled by the TAPI drivers for the modem.
In my experiance consumer modems are quite weak when it comes to
detecting call progress and have considerable delays with switching
between different modes like record and playback. Does it seem to work
ok for most people?
