Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Interfaces Ingo Pakleppa Wed, 21 Apr 1999 18:30:51 -0700 |
Robert,
just be aware that there are several DIFFERENT Interfaces by the name of
Lynx-10. I fell into that trap and bought a external coprocessor that at
that time did NOT work with ECS (I believe Mark since added support for it,
but I never got around to trying that). I'm still happier with the CM-11A.
The reason is unrelated to ECS and also unrelated to the Lynx-10 itself,
though: somehow, the signal from my Lynx-10 does not manage to cross
reliably from one phase to the other while the CM-11A's signal goes to both
phases just fine (in case you are wondering: yes, I do have a phase coupler).

Hi Mark: I was just sitting here thinking that with all the problems I
seem to be having with my JDS TimeCommander if I wouldn't be better off
just buying another make of interface that would be more "compatible" with
ECS. With that thought in mind I was wondering what your experience has
been with the Marrick Lynx-10 Interface and its compatibility with ECS. I
see in your manual you list that as one of the recommended interfaces. I
would sure like to have your opinion on this as I definitely want to stay
with the ECS software.
