i do not use this device. check http://www.weedtech.com/

Telephone / Computer Interface

Decodes DTMF tones emitted by a touch-tone telephone and sends it to an
RS-232 serial port.
Can share same port with the "Caller ID / Computer Interface" kit, for a
complete in/out logging system.
Send commands to your computer via telephone; control your home automation
system remotely.
Use any telephone on the line for keypad entry.
Connects between a telephone wall jack and an RS-232 serial port. Decodes
all touch-tones emitted from any telephone on the line, or from an incoming
call after pick-up by an answering machine, and sends the equivalent ASCII
characters to a computer. User's choice of sending a character as each
button is pressed, or a complete string of characters entered within a 1 -
10 second time-out period. A simple "LINE INPUT #" command using BASIC will
retrieve the string of characters. On board 256-character buffer holds any
data received (such as calls placed) while computer is inactive or program
isn't running. Requires 12VDC wall transformer (not included).

WTTCI-K..........................................$34
Includes PC board and all board mounting components.
