Subject: From: Date: | FIDO E-Mail Richard Yee Sat, 24 Apr 1999 10:24:39 -0700 |
In case any of you are interested, FIDO now offers (as of 2 days ago)
e-mail services for their $20/$40/$100 monthly packages. It's a very
nice package that lets you receive 150 e-mails on your phone/month
(additional messages 5 cents/unit, but you can have it not send e-mails
to your phone or have it send only selected messages).
The Postie program can work great with this service. I use my own mail
server and it takes up to 10 seconds for me to receive my message on my
phone as soon as I press the send key on my workstation. But then I'm
using cable modem (but then again, a lot of you are too).
