ECSDOS was down today some 9+ hours today before I finally reset it!
It did not make my day!

I had to take the machine down to do some things and finally after trying all
sorts of combinations throughout the day, finally after 9+ hours F5 finally
reset ECS and the HV interface.

It was the "ERR #004C:" problem.......... After 24 Aug 98 update
the problem has continued to plague me and always at the worst times! I
have no plans at this time to upgrade to Windoz. I would need a new
computer and the hardware to do the phone stuff and I don't plan to do
computer upgrades until the cable company brings in the next part of the
broadband pie which will be telephone service and A CABLE MODEM sometimes
before the end-of-the-year. Things have slowed down since Media One is
merging with AT&T.

I am the proud owner of a new HAI OMNI PRO Alarm system! I had it installed
since I was planning to go to the same company, an Alarm/Fire and HA company
in Atlanta for their monitoring. Peter who has been in the business some
22 years
said that this was by far the best system on the market today. Does X10,
Relays,
has a serial interface, you can call into the system and it has voice
commands,
and has a decent program for Macro's etc., when, and, then etc...... Since
not
supported by ECS I am sending digital to HV via the Relays....... Has
outdoor
temp sensor and also can add various other options such as HVAC, plus some
other bells and whistles and we always need more of those.

Any other ECS DOS users with HV unit still having the ERR #004C: problem?
