I have never tried anything other than shutting down and restarting ECSW. I
will try the RESET the next time this happens.
Another small oddity (unrelated to the speaker output) is that every now and
then ECSW will "hang-up" while somebody is leaving a message. The "hang-up"
occurs well before "time out" would occur and from the sound of what I do
get of the message volume is not an issue. Maybe happens once every couple
of weeks.

So everything continues to work except modem speaker output ?
Does setting phn-c to RESET fix it ?
