Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] 4.1 upload Mark Sekelsky Wed, 19 May 1999 17:23:43 -0500 |
Mark,
The Speak/W->VC works great! My @file speaking problem still exists. I
played around with VR for a remote phone session a little bit today. Here
are a few questions/observations:
1. It is clear that I will need to "retrain" via the phone. My existing
voice training (about 90% accurate) was no more than 10% accurate over the
phone. If I retrain via the modem can the new file live with the existing
file? In other words I have "computer" as my word to get the attention of
ECS. Can I train both with the sound card (which I have already done) AND
the modem?
2. When I do get VR to recognize a command (over the phone) the TTS
response comes over the in-house speaker NOT over the phone. DO I need to
tell ECS that a remote session is started and to route the responses through
the phone?
3. While in a voice session the "old" session continues. I will hear the
prompt to respond within 15", even though ECS is responding to VR. Then ECS
disconnects me.

Hello all,
I am currently uploading ECSU.ZIP.
I have been working-out the SPEAK-MESSAGES all day
(thru remote phone and handset), and found/fixed a
few bugs.
I think the new "/W" States below are what some of you had in mind.
Mark, I THINK I fixed your @file speaking problem.
Recent changes:
* 29) VR is now supported for remote calls. In-house phone VR is
also "supported" to some degree. For details on both, see
VOICE-SESSION in ECS.HTM.
30) COMIO now defaults to running as a "normal" modem comm pgm,
whereas it just displays the characters received by the modem
(versus all the additional diag info).
31) The following States are now supported for the TEXT,
CALLER-ID-IFC-A, CALLER-ID-IFC-B, CALLER-ID-C, &
CALLER-ID-D Types:
Speak/W (with wait)
Speak/W->VC ( " )
Speak/W->PC ( " )
Speak/W->PC:Sp ( " )
Speak/W->PC:Ln ( " )
Speak/W->PC:Ln/Sp ( " )
Speak/W->PC:HS ( " )
