Subject: From: Date: | 4.1 uploads in progress Mark Gilmore Tue, 25 May 1999 12:32:41 -0700 |
I am now uploading a new ECSB.ZIP (included ALL files)
and ECSU.ZIP with the following:
1) I fixed a bug which could keep the extension (.RPC or .WAV)
from appearing in the default file name when creating a
VOICE-RECORDING-C or PHONE-RECORDING-C Item.
2) ECS now dynamically loads the appropriate VR commands based
on the current context:
Default:
All commands defined via VOICE-SESSION Items
All commands defined via VOICE-COMMAND Items
All Item names
After an Item name is spoken:
All of the above, plus the names of "settable" States
for the selected Item
NOTE:Loading a large number of new commands can take some 20
seconds. For this reason, Item names are loaded at startup
(though they are not applicable until an Initiate command
is spoken). For the same reason, ECS will load no more than
200 State names (to avoid a long delay after an Item name
is spoken). This restriction mainly applies to Number Items
(which have 32767 States) and Time Items (which have some
1440 States).
ECS reloads the Item-name "commands" as appropriate when Items
are added/deleted/modified.
Note that this eliminates the need to edit VR commands manually
(in VR.EXE). VR's command-edit box is still supported, but only
for verification purposes (to see what commands VR is currently
listening for).
