Sounds like we are on the "same page."  A reboot seems to have eliminated
the error.  I also just got a couple of SmartLincs and am wondering about
status checks.

Weird...Mark and I were fighting this error with my Redac. I got rid of the
error by rebooting and so far, the latest beta is stable as a rock.
