I am not so interested in VR, yet.  I am just trying to get all the other stuff working
right now.  I am spending hours and hours trying to put years worth of ideas into the
if then statements.  I am only running sp4, but there are some questions I have, have
you tried using a i/o card with ECS?  I have not tried yet, but because of NT's reluctance
to play well with programs that directly access the hardware, I am concerned.  I will
try it when I get all the wires in the house installed.  I *should* post a email that
addresses all the things I learned this memorial day weekend about running wires in
a two story house!  Anyway, the settings are the only program that I have found that
will not work because of NT yet.

I too am running ECS under NT 4.0 (SP5).

Did you get VR to work with your system?

Also, do you know if there is such a thing as a way to change the default
font for apps?  If so, I would change it to something proportional.

Even though proportional fonts aren't the best for most apps, I'd be willing
to make the sacrifice so that the event screen in ECS looks better.  It's
kinda hard to follow now, when working on a complex event.  :)

     I have been getting all the updates, and thanks for staying on top of
the problems and fixing them so fast.  I am running on NT Workstation 4.0,
and when I run the settings program, I am still getting the extra window
that opens and the title reads:  VDW (Wnd: 25/80 Scr: 25/80 Font: 16/8) and
then it closes and so does the settings screen.  I can manually update the
ecs.dt with a text editor, but thought this might help others.  I think you
said it was a font problem with NT?  But just in case anyone else is having
this trouble. . .

Second, has anyone setup a 56k USR to use as a callerid box?  Until I get
more money, I can't buy the Zoom modem yet.  I upgraded the USR 56k for free
on the 3com site, and it now does callerid.  I thought I would use it for
announcing who is calling.

Third, I noticed that when using the PLC Interface 2H, I never see it go to
"receiving" when sending from my remote control.  The updates to the lights
still show on the screen, but the group icon does not seem to change.  Is it
changing faster than I can see it, or has anyone else had this problem?  (I
have not tested this for about a week, so one of these last upgrades my have
fixed it.)

As an enhancement request, I would love to see a change to the system that
would allow us to select which group is being displayed and change it in the
code.  That way if the Security system goes off, the screen could change to
the Security Group.  Would this be hard to do?
