Peter,
I had the same problem with the delay (on my 66MHZ ECS PC).
In the next upload, ECS will leave TTS.WAV "behind" after
converting text. You may then copy this file to that for
a VOICE-RECORDING-C Item, and reference this Item in your
PHONE-ANSWER Item.
