Subject: From: Date: | Phone message recording problem Mark Sekelsky Wed, 2 Jun 1999 17:16:27 -0500 |
Mark,
I have had a new problem crop up that to the best of my knowledge happened
within the last couple of beta versions. However, I really have no way of
knowing when it really started.
My wife called the other day when I wasn't home. I could see that she
called, but was surprised that she left no message. I called her back and
she informed me that she did leave a message. The next day the same thing
happened. I thought that perhaps she was talking in to low of a voice or
backspace something so I backspace set the parameter to one in my
phone-interface-c item. I also verified that there was no problem with my
event, or my phone answer item.
I had her call me from work so I could listen to what was happening. ECS
answered the call and played the appropriate message. However, very shortly
after she began talking, a T T S spoke "Goodbye. " I had her call again, and
this time she could leave a message just fine.
I have since found two other occasions where people tell me that they have
left a message yet there is no message. I have also scoured through the ECS
directory in case the message was there but just not being seen by ECS.
I have tried calling myself several times but have been unable to replicate
this. For all I know this is been an issue for months. Short of continuing
to call myself until I can get this replicated while running in debug mode,
do you had any trouble shooting suggestions?
