I am also using HomeVision and was trying to mute the Hifi and speak the
message.  I had to put the no delay statement in my Autoexec.bat to get ECS to
mute the HiFi before speaking the message.  The mute event was also called.

Don't understand why it works but it does.  I now have three IR signal J items
in the called event and had to put a pause between first and second.  If ECS is
making 25 passes per second it would seem that the Hifi would mute long before
the first word is spoken, but then Speech stops processing so...
