Subject: From: Date: | 4.1.002 beta Mark Gilmore Thu, 10 Jun 1999 09:13:14 -0700 |
ECS 4.1.002 (beta) has been uploaded to ECSB.ZIP for
your eval. Please let me know if you are using it.
Feedback welcome.
4.1.002 (06/05/99)
44) If the Text-Line of a Text Item is updated and that Item is
monitored via the DDE API, ECS will now send an update packet
to the applicable client(s).
* 45) As Rockwell has dropped support for handset rec/pb in their
latest chipsets, ECS now normally suppresses all handset-related
States (e.g. SPEAK->PC:HS), and uses the sound-card to record
local messages in the Message window. IF YOUR MODEM SUPPORTS
HANDSET REC/PB, you can override this behavior by inserting the
following line in \AUTOEXEC.BAT and reboot:
SET ECS_PHN_C_HS_SUPP=1
* 46) So as to be compatible with current naming convention (which
uses "Speech-Recognition" instead of "Voice-Recognition"), we
have renamed the following:
Old New
------------------ ----------
VR.EXE SR.EXE
VOICE-SESSION SR-SESSION
VOICE-COMMAND SR-COMMAND
SPEECH-INTERFACE-B TTS
* 47) A new Parameter ("SESSION") is now supported for the PASSWORD
Type, which denotes the session the password will apply to.
In ECS.CFG, insert this new Parameter below the password as
shown in this example:
|Item:Remote Phone Passwd Type:Password . . .
| Initial State:(None) . . .
| Password :123
| Session :Remote Phone
| Access :Owner
48) Phone Keypad-Sessions having passwords (see #47) now prompt
for the password BEFORE the macro.
49) NON-Phone Keypad-Sessions no longer require an initial <Enter>
to enter a macro (or a password).
50) Fixed bug which kept the .RPC file (modem version of the .WAV
file) from being saved when a new VOICE-RECORDING-C Item was
created. NOTE: ECS creates any missing files at startup, so
no re-recording is necessary.
