A few minor issues....

Hi Mark!

I finally did the upgrade to the most recent version of ECS today. A few
minor issues:

1) I prefer not to use the wav files for PC bell and error (I find them
REALLY annoying), and prefer to use the PC speaker. Before this version,
all I had to do was delete bell.wav and errbell.wav, and the PC bell would
work. Now, after I delete those files, the PC bell doesn't beep when it
should. And I now get this error:

0039 N 06/13 11:04 PM:File "BELL.WAV" does not exist (Item "PC Bell")

2) I use the TTS embedded cmd \Vol=x\ so that ECS can change the level of
her voice depending on whether the house is awake or asleep, when the kids
are napping, when it's an alert message that is being spoken (e.g. "the
basement is flooding!), etc. I do this by speaking text items that only
contain the \Vol-x\ cmd, so that TTS doesn't actually have to say something
to change the volume level.

Every time I "speak" one of these text items with nothing more than the
embedded cmd, I get the following error:

0018 N 06/13 10:57 PM:AVIFO:FILEREAD (Item "TTS Volume Lvl 3") ("Voice
Level" line 28)

For reference, here is the item "TTS Volume Level 3":

|Item:TTS Volume Lvl 3 Type:Text
Acc:Owner/Owner
|	Initial State:(None) Backup:No
|	Text :\VOL=30000\

Here is the relevant line (line 28 in my event "Voice Level":
|	Do TTS Volume Lvl 3 Set Speak

3) Running under NT, the ECS console window does not close when ECS quits.
Doesn't seem to be a problem. I just close it manually

4) I notice the version number in .cfg is no longer being updated, and
that you are putting the version number in the ecs.htm file. Can I delete
the Version line in my .cfg?

By the way it was quite nostalgic going through my .cfg and deleting the old
dos stuff, especially the screen color stuff. I
remember playing with the colors for a couple of hours back in 1990, I
think, trying to find just the perfect scheme. :)

Cheers!
