Ah, OK, I misunderstood.  You might want to check out Voice Guide from 
Katalina.  It allows you to create your own voice mail program by 
connecting its various function blocks together.  It has a block for 
DDE.  It can do caller id stuff, dtmf fcuntions, voice mail, record/play 
to phone, etc.  I know ECS has a lot of phone capabilities and so maybe 
Voice Guide is not needed.  But, it's the only thing I can think of right 
now that I know supports DDE.  I have a link to VG on my HA Index page.  

There is a paging program called PageMaster that can be controlled by 
DDE.  Again, since I am really not an ecs user, I'm not sure if paging 
support is needed or not.  

After closer inspection, I see that your original post was looking for 
proven solutions and not ideas - sorry.  But, since I've already written 
this I might as well send it out.
