Subject: From: Date: | Question to HomeVision users... Jerry Swords Mon, 28 Jun 1999 08:13:07 -0400 |
Mark and
I have been unable to get ECS to properly track X-10 powerline activity
(from remote transmitters) when using my TimeCommander Plus as the PLC
interface. The TC+ also dims lamps using rather large jumps in dim
level rather than a smooth transition from one dim level to another.
Fortunately, the TC+ and attached I/O expander are working great for digital
and analog I/O and relay output.
I want
to add 2 way IR capability to ECS, and would like to use the HomeVision
PC for this purpose, as well as use it for the PLC interface. Does
ECS dim and brighten lamps smoothly when using HomeVision as the PLC interface?
Or is there a noticeable jump from one level to the next?
I'd
hate to purchase the HomeVision PC, only to find that I still need to tie
up an additional serial port for decent PLC interface performance (the
CM11A is working fine.)
Thanks,
Jerry
