Running HomeVision on COM5
Don

Can someone help me out? I've been using my HomeVision with ECS for the last
year or so with the com port set to COM5. I have a new remote, and I need to
run the HomeVision software in order to learn the IR codes, but I keep
getting the following error,
Com Port 5 error: The Device Identifier Is Invalid Or Unsupported.
Does this mean that my current HomeVision software doesn't support COM5 or
that there is another problem?
I'm running the software version 2.61a. I'd try a later version, but I don't
know my prom version. I'm open to any suggestions, other than dragging the
HomeVision out of my entertainment center to plug it into COM2. :)
Thanks;
Don
