how are you determining your IP address? are you acutally running VNC on smtp.usit.net
(usit's mail server) or 199.1.48.2 (their nameserver)?

try typing "netstat -n" after connecting to the internet from your VNC server machine.
under 'local address' you should see the ip you were dynamically 
assigned when connecting.

when you connect to a windows based server, you will always connect as ipaddress:0 (not
as :1...)
