Just as a quick work around, you could have the other pc look for a file in a certain
subdirectory on the first pc, and then execute the program on the second one when it
finds it. There are a lot of wait programs that you could use in a batch file. . .
First pc -
ECS runs a program to put a file in a subdirectory.
second pc -
run a batch file that checks for the existence of the first pc's file, wait a few
seconds if not found, then try again.
We used to have build machines at a place I used to work, and they would look for the
.c file and when found, grab it and build it and put it in another subdirectory as an
.exe This let the build machine do all the work. It could work for you too.

i've got a situation where i'd like to have ECS kick off an app on a different machine
that is connected to my ECS machine via a network. windows doesn't seem
to have the REXEC server/client common to unix-type tcp/ip stacks... has anyone out
there tackled a problem like this?
