Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Recording new Outgoing phone message Mark Gilmore Tue, 27 Jul 1999 11:50:42 -0700 |
Hi Bill,
I fixed the bug.
Let me know if I can email you ECS.EXE (zipped) for further testing.
NOTE: ECS normally does NOT abort recording on a DTMF,
as some people's voices (esp females) can "fake out"
the modem, Therefore, when you re-record your greeting
remotely, you can only abort it via a silence timeout.
Callers would then hear a few seconds of silence after
your spoken greeting. If this is more undesirable than
the chance of having messages occasionaly truncated,
then place this line in \AUTOEXEC.BAT and reboot:
SET ECS_MSG_DTMF_ABO=1
This will cause ECS to abort recordings on DTMFs.
