Subject: From: Date: | Some Questions Frank Herron Charlotte NC Tue, 11 Aug 98 12:42:10 EDT |
General Question: I use a lot of voice confirmations for status and state
changes. Is it better to have a DOS file that ECS speaks or a text item that
ECS speaks. I am running ECST 3.4. Which conserves memory better? I recently
started Keypad sessions with LOTs of help from Michael David and now may be
running short of memory. Thanks.
Mark in answer to your Question, I boot up to DOS 6.22 and run the config.sys
and autoexec, bat commands pretty much out of examples.cfg. They are attached.
I have the following Item 635/800 groups 14/25 Events 59/150 Text Lines
203/250 and Event lines 2796/4000. Would converting some text items to dos
files help?
I will upgrade to the Aug level (pulled down new version from ECS last night)
as soon as I have time.
