Re: [ECS] OMNI RCS-80 Thermostats

Bill:

I'm using unshielded telephone cable (as I recall). The upstairs 'stat is
probably 50 to 60 (cable) feet from the ECS PC. The downstairs 'stat is
multi-dropped off of the same cable on a second 15' stubb. I'm driving this
network with one of the ports on my Byterunner board. I've never had a
problem exchanging data with either of the 'stats.

Regards,

Bill Freeman

Bill,

Thanks for reply - are you using shielded cable or telco twisted pair,
or??

I'm sure ECS works just fine; I've been sent a copy of PCSTAT (from HAI
support) and it doesn't talk to the RC-80 reliably either.
