MARK,
i think you have a great product.you have great customer support. you have
answered my questions.i listen in on the ecs list for ideas but i bought a
homevision because it seemed to me that ecs is too hard to install and use
and upgrade for a casual non technical person.i tried to download ecs lite
to try it but failed (a number of years ago so maybe it is easier now).
popular home automation magazine claims homevision is for a geek but i
learned to program it... i think you need a windows version of ecs lite
that installs and runs and documents like any other win 95 program. You can
experiment with a full featured system but when you get ready to mass
market it you need a simple system. i dont even think homevision is really
ready for mass marketing. i have not seen hal 2000 yet but i hear it
installs very easily and assumes little on the part of the user.

simple will sell to a large number of people.

complex (even tho powerful) will only sell to a few technical people.

good luck mark

david
